About Avra:
|
Avra Greenspan devoted her life's work to helping children,
adolescents, and adults achieve their potential. As a therapist,
educator, teacher, and social worker she was a strong advocate for
the emotionally and psychologically troubled. Many of those she
helped were teenaged women who had lost a parent or had little
emotional support. Through expressive therapy and other modalities,
Avra was a great resource to these youths and she showed an
understanding and compassion for the underprivileged and troubled
youth.

Avra, a motherless daughter, was sensitive to the needs of women that
experienced loss of their mothers. She developed a clinical practice
in Cambridge MA with women of all ages who had lost their mothers at
various ages.

Avra's physical presence left us, on April 24, 2001. However, her
spirit, her work and the lives she touched and helped live on. Avra
worked extensively with children, teens, and young adults that lost a
parent. She would tell them that the life story must continue to go
on even though the person is gone. We believe that Avra's life story
and work can continue through AGELESS For All. Through AGELESS we
can continue the work that Avra valued and help those she did not
have a chance to help directly.
